Judge's Comments on Personal Favorites (sample)

Choclatique's champagne truffle, Nicole Lee's basil, Marti's pandan, durian and chevre, Droga's salted caramel with honey. There were many good companies but the ONE REAL stand out was Cocotutti, just stunningly elegant flavors, ideas and taste.
My favorites were: Ciel, Choclatique, Minon My personal favorites were the Passionfruit Truffle from Ciel, the Le Muscadine from Nicole Lee, and the Ginger-Sea Salt from Mignon.
Particularly liked the basil chocolate from Nicole Lee. Enjoyed the warmth of many of the vendors including Choclatique. Amano is fabulous!
Choclatique's products were so beautiful! David Bacco has such great rich flavors. I was also very impressed by Chocoveda, especially because it is vegan. david bacco passionfruit mignon pomegranate monterey chile
CocoTutti's Jasmin offering was outstanding David Bacco's Lime & passion fruit were also outstanding Droga Confections for children are beautiful and sweet. The mini designer donuts from Choclatique were the most original items I saw at the Salon. They tasted as delicious as they looked.
My favorites included Ciel due to the flavor variety, display, friendly service and taste. Also appreciated Marti Chocolatt, Mignon Chocolate, Chocoveda, Choclatique and Jer's Chocolates for the same. Oh, and must'nt forget to mention David Bacco too -- Excellent. Loved the tea infused chocolates from the TeaRoom, the vegan chocolates at Chocoveda and the durian chocolate from Marti.
captive by david bacco was yummy. Pacari table was very customer friendly. most of the chocolates were delicious and hard to choose what is better than another one. Marti Chocolatt brings a diverse landscape of flavors to their chocolates. Marti's creations are sophisticated and intriguing...a taste of chocolatey whimsy in your mouth.
A delicious selection of chocolates! It was very hard to choose winners! Good luck to everyone! Drago was the best. I liked the variety of samples, and the girl working the booth was very well informed and pleasant to talk with.

Detailed Judge's Review (sample)

Choclatique'sHands down, the most unique and memorable company was Pacari. I especially appreciate their organic methods and their pending bio-dynamic farming certification. Their chocolate covered banana nibs were curious and wonderfully playful, yet mature. I totally enjoyed them! Butterfly Brittle deserves an honorary mention b/c of their very particularly homespun finery in their delicate treats. Plus, they take extra care with a personal touch in their gift packaging...their style has a very nostalgic, wholesome charm. Plus, their Gingered Cashew brittle was delicious! While Gourmet Blends was not chocolate, they will sure make any spread with chocolate involved take a notch up in panache. Wow... the Vanilla Fig Balsamic is delectable...and their Meyer Lemon Olive Oil a sheer delight! Cocotutti seemed to be true to the flavors they claim through and through.... It is awesome that their ingredients are organic and come straight from local farmers... and the perky flavors don't shy from their peak seasonal glories! Loved their Orange Caramel. Also, I want to wish Kallari great success with their new line called Sacha...it is 100 percent farmer owned. That is truly just and it is rewarding to support those that deserve it. The 75% dark chocolate bar is my top choice for a stellar dark chocolate bar. Simple, unapologetic, earnest cacao in a fully righteous bloom. I was all grins with Amellia Caramels. Such childlike delights gave a refreshing upswing to my day of heady sugar spells... The on-pointe chewy resistance of cherry, carrot cake, and passionfruit caramel proved comforting. Ironically, their simplistic offerings underscored how some may have been trying just a bit too hard to impress. Ciel is a notable up-and-comer..with a Paris truffle not easy to forget. Their 4-tier gift box in a bright, finely textured, fire-engine red exemplifies their ability and style. Chocolatique's presenters were some of the most genuine chocolate lovers and aficionados I have had the pleasure of meeting...as artistic as their products may be, they exude a pleasant approachability with the perfect touch of sophistication. No snobbery here, just a company that is a great ambassador for progressing a common language and love for a heavenly gift we call chocolate.hampagne truffle, Nicole Lee's basil, Marti's pandan, durian and chevre, Droga's salted caramel with honey.
