Results from the first ever World Dog Surfing Championships Exhibition Tour in Pismo Beach

Hundreds of fans packed the shores of Pismo Beach for the first-ever World Dog Surfing Championships Exhibition Tour stop, where top dog surfing pros and local entrants took to the waves in an unforgettable showcase of skill and stoke. With beautiful weather and incredible energy all day long, Pismo Beach proved to be the perfect launch location for the new WDSC Exhibition Tour™, proudly sponsored by Chef’s Pure Pet.

Alongside crowd-thrilling exhibition rides, select competitive heats kept the excitement high—including Small and Medium Dog divisions and a fan-favorite Dog/Human Tandem category. The World Dog Surfing Championships return in person on August 1, 2026

The World Championships for Dog Surfing take place on the Northern California coast — where the concept for the dog surfing sport originated — bringing together the best in local and international dog surfing talent. The world’s top dog surfers as well as amateurs are invited to bring home the gold.

Top dog surfers as well as happy amateurs are invited to bring home the Golden Surfie Award. During the event there will be a number of activities including the surf competition, dog beach fashion contest, dog adoptions, partner tents and activities, and more.
