Tasty Awards Finalists are selected by the COUNCIL OF MEDIA TASTEMAKERS, an association of food & wine editors, editors, writers and bloggers, chefs, fashion journalists, television producers and stations, online video platforms, mobile device providers, and others.

There is also a set of Viewer's Choice Awards, selected online by the general public. Winners of the Tasty Awards received their honors on January 14th, 2010 at a gala celebration in San Francisco.

Finalists are selected from all qualified nominees based on their level of excellence in the categories in which they have been nominated. Six Finalists are selected for each category. (see 2010 Categories and winners on www.TastyAwards.com)

The Judges Panel for 2011 has been expanded from 85 to over 200 industry experts, gurus, peers, and media. See below for current names.

Judges are not excluded from making nominations, and may be past nominees and finalists.
