American model and RVCA Advocate Ashley Smith heads to the skatepark for a recent shoot for surf and skate lifestyle brand RVCA. The blonde beauty poses for photographer Mike Piscitelli of Bernstein & Andriulli for the relaxed snaps.

RVCA-SkaterCool-4Piscitelli explains how he got the images to look so natural on his agency’s blog stating “We were shooting outside and went into the supermarket to get something to eat and we ended up shooting in there.” Ashley looks stylish posing in denim, graphic-print tees and bikini tops.

RVCA was founded by PM Tenore, and the brand’s design-driven lifestyle clothing does not stay within the limits and boundaries of traditional action sports apparel. Tenore’s intention has been to create a platform for RVCA, which combines art, music, fashion and a modern lifestyle in an original way.

An Interview with “Food Wishes” CHEF JOHN MITZEWICH

QUESTION: John, what exactly is Food Wishes?

CHEF JOHN: Food Wishes is the name of my show on YouTube, which features more than 800 video recipes.

The concept is a show based on the “food wishes” of the viewers, as in, “I wish I could make a great pizza at home.”

Q: How did you come up with the name?

CJ: When I first started I worked with a few friends on a site called “Wish Upon a Stove.” When I went off on my own, I changed it to “Food Wishes.”

Q: How many recipes a week do you prepare?

CJ: I film 2 or 3 new video recipes every week.

Q: So, where do you get the ideas for the recipes?

CJ: The viewers’ own “food wishes!”

Q: Do you create them all, or do you use other recipe sources?

CJ: Some I create, some are inspired by things I see online, or viewers send in recipes.

Q: You were primarily on YouTube. Did you initially decide for this to be your main platform?

CJ: When I started, YouTube was the only video hosting site I actually knew about. But then I discovered the large food community there, and they discovered me, and that’s been the main platform since.

Q: How many viewers do you usually have on YouTube?

CJ: We get over 3 million views a month.

Q: Wow, any tips for aspiring YouTube stars?

CJ: Your content has to be entertaining, but it’s really all about quantity. You have to produce lots of content, like 2-3 videos a weeks for a couple years if you want to build a large audience.

Q: But now you are also on AllRecipes.com. How did that come about?

CJ: They approached me regarding a partnership, and it ended up being a perfect fit. We have the same missions: get people to discover the joys of  cooking at home, provide them with all of the necessary (and fun) tools and inspiration to create great meals.

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s wine reaches French Riviera

miraval-bottle

The Yachting Pages reports:

The new Miraval wine produced by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has recently arrived within reach of the superyachts on the French Riviera. The wine is now on sale in the 1862 Wines & Spirits shop, situated opposite the old Port of Cannes, in a prime location for superyachts on the world famous French Riviera.

The Rose wine named Miraval, which was created at Brad and Angelina’s French Provencal estate Chateau Miraval, is the second wine released by the renowned Hollywood couple.

Expectations are high for the 2013 Miraval, following on from the success of the couple’s first wine produced last year, with thousands of bottles of the 2012 vintage selling out within hours of its’ release. When speaking to Yachting Pages, Hervé from 1862 Wines & Spirits commented, “We sold a lot of it last year and it has been very popular already again. I think we will sell even more this year because the wine is definitely better in taste.”

Though it has been a very popular addition to the 1862 shop, Hervé also explained, “For the moment it hasn’t been that popular amongst yacht crew, they prefer to stick to the most popular Domaine Ott or Minuty, but we are expecting the wine to grow in popularity and for it to become a top seller this year”.

Chateau Miraval is not only famous for producing the wine of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, but also has links to famous rock band Pink Floyd. In an interview with Yachting Pages, Hervé continued, “I have been working with this estate (Chateau Miraval) for the past four years, since I first started here. It was already owned by Brad Pitt but he wasn’t advertising on it. It is an estate with a long history: the rosé is called “Pink Floyd” because the rock band recorded their album “The Wall” at the estate in 1979. It is even written on the back of the cover.”

The new vintage 2013 wine has now been on sale for a few weeks in the 1862 Wines and Spirits shop and is offered in both bottles and magnums for a price of €15.90 and €34.00, including VAT.

1862 Wines and Spirits is one of the French Riviera’s leading suppliers of wines, champagnes, liquors and spirits. They are able to provide a range of products in store as well as deliver to homes, villas and yachts anywhere from St Tropez to Monaco.

1862 Wines and Spirits is working with Yachting Pages Media Group to offer its products to captains and crews.
