Top 10 Wines from the Uncorked Wine Festival

The 11th Annual Uncorked Wine Festival recently took place on San Francisco’s waterfront, at the historic Ghirardelli Square. This wine, food and music event featured 50 wineries and breweries, live music, Off The Grid food trucks, and a large craft fair by PopUpsters.

Here are our Top 10 Wine Picks from the Festival, or as we call them, “The Uncorked 10.”

  • Laurel Glen Vineyard's Sonoma Mountain Cabernet is called Counterpoint. We would like to collect it by the box!

  • This 2012 Cabernet hits just the right note! (Yes, we know that's a cliche, but it's true)

  • Windor Meritage. Windsor Vineyards is based out of Healdsburg in Sonoma County, and the taste is delicious

  • This 2014 Concannon Cab from Paso Robles makes you want to take the trip to the Concannon tasting room in Livermore, where you can sip it casually on their outdoor patio and lawn

  • These Old Vine Zinfandels have been in the ground a very long time, and the wine scores on the table tell the true story.

  • This 2010 Meritage from Terra Savia is made in Mendocino, and is a refreshing contrast to Cabs and Zins.

  • Grieve Family Winery is a high end wine that tastes like it. Plus, who can resist a leather wine bottle label?

  • HERO's Cabernet is called "Strength" and it's Pinot Noir is called "Promise." We promise we did not have the strength to resist enjoying them.

  • Bishop's Vineyard Pinot Noir is a lovely addition to any wine collection.

  • Charthia 2013 Carneros Pinot Noir gives your tongue butterflies of delight.
