The Final TENET Movie Trailer has Dropped

Well, the final, final, FINAL, TENET movie trailer has dropped, and it actually increases the amount of buzz around this already hyper-buzzed-up film. The film was originally scheduled to be released early in Summer 2020, but was postponed due to coronavirus. This was due to the logical assumption that most people would not want to sit in an enclosed space for hours with other people and possibly catch the virus. If Warner Brothers could not maximize the amount of people seeing the movie, then there would be a LOT of money left on the table.

Not acceptable. Especially for a movie starring John David Washington, Robert Pattinson and is about Time Inversion. The sad reality is that if you don’t make the money now you can’t go backwards and get it again.

So the movie has been pushed back repeatedly, trying to figure out a way forward. Would it continue to wait until theaters could open to live audiences, or would it go the VOD route that Disney finally decided for MULAN?

The directors, producers, actors, and studios, not to mention the theater chains that are hurting for revenue, all say it’s going into theaters. This is a major reason why it had better be AWESOME.

Fortunately, this trailer and the buzz around reviews by those who have already screened it indicate that we still might have a major blockbuster on our hands. Which is a very tough thing to achieve in the age of COVID.
