ARTISAN PERFUME AWARDS

An annual Juried Awards competition rewards the Top Artisan, Niche, and Custom Fragrances of the Year.

Products from across the country were entered into this competition and sent to a panel of judges located throughout North America, who reviewed and voted on which they consider to be the “Top Artisan Fragrances of the Year, ” as well as TASTY AWARDS Winners.

2021 FRAGRANCE AWARDS: SELECTED JUDGES COMMENTS

I felt like I loved Elia Parfum No. 1 and Amalfi equally. They were the most polished and complete fragrances and smelled perfect to me out of all of the samples. Followed by the selections of House Of Matriarch.

“Scents are our most sensitive olfactory, it has a direct pathway to our brain. It elicits our most primitive emotions and deepest memories.

“ Love in Time of Corona”. Havana is filled with streets of old world architecture preserved in time. After sunset one nite , I heard a wooing lover, “ Maricela, I’m here, come down.””

Nur by Livvy is one of her best fragrances; It tells her story and her connection to India. I applaud several of the perfumers who are creating scents with a cause, especially Elia giving proceeds to fight sex trafficking. I am not the biggest citrus fan but Elia Almalfi takes me to Positano as its sun-soaked character evokes limoncello. I am crazy for all of Pomare’s fragrance and love that she is a sommelier, ans I want For You My Love as a cocktail! House of Matriarch’s Black Sheep is innovative and strange at the same time. How on earth did she think to extract a scent from sheep wool?! While I absolutely love By Mariliis Fler Rose, my husband couldn’t stop smelling it on me! What an exciting and unusual rose scent, with smoky notes, jammy red fruit and a buttery creamy dry down.

Like the base, heart + top notes of these perfumes. Love the vanilla Caviar + smoky “fire” campfire smell of Fier Rose. Suggestion: coffee scent, chocolate! 💙 citrus scents, tropical coconut, mango, banana

Murmuration by La Grange du Parfumeur: Deep, sophisticated, sweet, but not cloying, mood-elevating and invigorating! Great job! Elia No 1 is really number One, period. Lovely Charis and Cheery Blossom from PK Perfumes, which is no surprise given the time-proven mastery of the perfumer. A Walk in Giverny from La Fleur by Livvy–excellent! Thank you for bringing the flowery Monet garden right to my nose! Rosebud Perfume Lab–beautiful aromas. House of Matriarch–great packaging. Siva by Jade Daisy is like sweet caramel sauce with a hint of jalapeno. Nice and original! Manly yet tender Zhivago by En Voyage Perfumes.
