The world is full of fantastic, delicious, and innovative healthy gourmet snacks. That’s why we’ve tasted some of the best, and here’s what we found.
The 7th Annual Snack Awards selects and rewards the Top Healthy Gourmet Snack creations of the Year.
Products from across the country entered into this competition, and were sent to a select jury panel of food & wine media and industry judges located throughout North America. This panel tasted, reviewed and voted on which they consider to be the “Top Healthy Gourmet Snacks of the Year” by the TASTY AWARDS panel, the Academy of Media Tastemakers
The Healthy Snack Awards look for the tastiest, most appealing , and healthiest snack choices on the market. It doesn’t matter if it’s a bar, a chip, popcorn, or nuts, as long as it looks good and tastes good and is good for you then it has the chance of making the list. Gluten Free, Sugar Free, or just made with fresh and natural ingredients, the bottom line is that they have to satisfy your urge to munch.
The judges and reviewers for this year’s selections come from a panel of gurus from the Academy of Media Tastemakers. Here are their favorites

SELECTED JUDGES COMMENTS
Although they broke easily, Mary’s Gone Crackers Olive Oil + Cracked Pepper were great with cheese and wine. But I also loved the crunchiness of both of the Love Corns — best “corn nuts” I’ve ever had. And I found the Three Dads Superfood Popcorn addictive and so good with a cold, malty ale. Too many favorites, but these were great.

Savory: Wai Lana Rice Crisps Nacho Cheese, Three Dads Superfood Popcorn
The granolas were my favorite. I can eat them as snacks or I can either with milk and have a meal. They were more satisfying, flavorful, and tasteful. The Alskinny Coconut could be a great topping on ice cream. The favorite, right out of the box was a tie between the 88 Acres Cinnamon and the Alskinny Maple Cinnamon. And they were both good with milk.

Three Dads Superfood Popcorn
I don’t think the Three Dads should say “Cheesy” on their packaging because the popcorn does not contain cheese. Maybe “super cheesy without cheese”?
When you eat Love Corn you know these aren’t your any ole gas station corn nuts. Crunchy and moreish just like the classic, but great flavors and nonGMO make them better.
Home Free Cookies – appreciated how the flavor really came through, especially in the Lemon Burst, while still keeping the cookie light.
I think I favor the Granola for a variety of reasons. The Alskinny Maple Cinnamon was delightful combination of ingredients and when I added milk to it it was a super snack. The 88 Acres Cinnamon was delightful combination of ingredients and when I added milk to it it was a super snack. The Love Corn salty corn nuts reminded me of those I ate as a kid. I am not usually found of fluffy puffy lightweight chips, but the Wai Lana Rice Chips were easy to eat. I think a soft brie, triple cream cheese would go well with the Mary’s Gone Tomato and Basil. By themselves they are quite good, but the cheese would elevate the entire taste experience.

LOVE CORN Smoked BBQ a better corn nut, smaller, perfect texture but BBQ flavor lacks intensity, just tastes like umami. Three Dads Superfood Popcorn Best of the bunch, small, delicate kernals, super tasty and actually quite good for you. Wai Lana Rice Chips : Sour Cream & Chives (Vegan) nice mild flavor
