Description: Are you interested in perfumes and fragrance design as a small business? There are many how-to books on starting an enterprise, but often the best advice comes directly from those with actual experience. Thus came the idea for this book; this “primer.” Why not ask perfumers firsthand what they have experienced and what they recommend? With this concept in mind, we composed 34 key questions and asked them to 14 interesting artisans with experience in either perfume, skin care, or both. Their answers on creativity, branding and business are very frank and often personal, and written in a journal or diary style. The information in the resulting primer is worth its weight in gold.

Top Artisan Fragrances of 2014
TasteTV is pleased to announce the Top Artisan Fragrances of 2014!
The list is the result of the annual Juried Awards competition which rewards the Top Artisan, Niche, and Custom Fragrances of the Year.

Products from across the country were entered into this competition and sent to a panel of judges located throughout North America, who reviewed and voted on which they consider to be the “Top Artisan Fragrances of the Year.”
In addition, the three “Top Artisan Perfumer” award winners from this competition are given the title, “Official Fragrance Partner of the TASTE AWARDS.

The 1st Annual Artisan Fragrance Salon took place on July 8th in San Francisco at Gallery 4N5.
Participants of the 1st Annual Artisan Fragrance Salon include Yosh, Sonoma Scent Studio, Artemisia Natural Perfume,Ineke, EnVoyage Perfumes, Olympic Orchids Artisan Perfumes, Velvet & Sweet Pea’s Purrfumery, Roxana Illuminated Perfume, 40notes Perfume, Sarah Horowitz Parfums, Persephenie, COGNOSCENTI, Divine Life Perfume, smell bent, Leila Castle Botanical Fragrance, Rebel & Mercury Pure Botanical Perfumes, Smells & Bells Organics, Ayala Moriel Parfums, Parfums DelRae, L’Aromatica Perfume, Biltmore Estate Winery, R&B Cellars, TasteTV and more.
The event was highlighted by olfactory tastings, panels and demonstrations, new product launches, author talks, wine pairings, an art exhibition, and book signings.
Interesting presentations were provided by author Alyssa Harad (“Coming to My Senses: A Story of Perfume”), Felicia Hazzard (Fragrance Belles-Lettres Magazine), Elyce Zahn (CocoTutti Chocolates), Yosh Han (YOSH), Alf Nucifora (Luxury Marketing Council), and Ayala Moriel (Ayala Moriel Parfums).
