Paris Fashion Designer FARHAD RE Releases Latest Eco Responsible Capsule Collection

Parisian fashion designer Farhad Re is incorporating sustainable fashion concepts into his latest collection, and uses pieces from the collection as a canvas to mirror his moods. The fabric colors he uses are 100% vegetable and organic, with 100 % biological pigments.

In Farhad’s atelier in Paris, these colorized dresses allow us to discover new architectural facets thanks to the way they are painted. Shadows and volumes are reflected differently and in a controlled harmony.

In this new Farhad Re Couture Paris collection — created during the COVID lockdown — Farhad‘s muse Galatea escapes from her monochrome universe and discovers a multicolored and hopeful world thanks to the arrival of a vaccine.

As in classical mythology, Galatea rediscovers the Red of Love, the Blue of the Sky, the Green of Hope, and the Yellow of Light and of the Sun. Regardless of a few dark clouds still looming in the distance, Galatea optimistically feels the world is coming back to life.

This Farhad Re collection embodies a rise and escalation of Hope, along with the spirit of eco-responsibility.

Vinfolio Creates a Program to Manage Investments in Fine Wine

Vinfolio, one of the country’s leading fine wine companies, recently announced the launch of a new cutting-edge fine wine investment program. Now, in addition to securing some of the most sought after wines by the bottle, Vinfolio clients can also gain access to a selection of investment-grade stock in original cases directly on the company’s e-commerce platform, or by working directly with Vinfolio’s executive team to build a bespoke fine wine investment portfolio.

From the time of my initial investment in Vinfolio back in 2016, it seemed that the U.S. market was lacking a player who could bring the idea of fine wine as an investment opportunity to the mainstream in a clear and accessible way,” says Don St. Pierre, Executive Chairman of Vinfolio. “Now, with the addition of more than 5,000 cases of investment-grade wines to our platform and the launch of our full-service investment program, we are proudly assuming that mantle.”

Historically speaking, fine wine has outperformed many of the traditional asset classes available and we are seeing more and more people looking to diversify by building a wine portfolio,” Vinfolio President Adam Lapierre says. “We believe we are in a unique position to support clients embarking on this journey thanks to our deep knowledge of the collectible fine wine market, unmatched global network of suppliers and innovative business model. I’m particularly excited by our full-service investment program: the process is extremely simple, fully transparent and, at the same time, low cost to the investor. It’s a game-changer.”

Vinfolio’s strength lies not just in the sourcing of fine wines at the best prices, but also in its use of technology to create a platform that provides both buyers and sellers with all the requisite tools and intelligence to successfully build and liquidate a wine portfolio. In addition to its marketplace platform, Vinfolio has proprietary access to crucial flow-data which lies at the heart of all our decision-making. The company’s algorithm dynamically looks at current U.S. retail listings, auction sale prices, and sales on its own platform to determine what is the current fair market value of a given wine. From there, Vinfolio can trigger buy or sell activities to ensure a sound investment and a healthy return.

Over the last three decades, investment-grade wine has performed very strongly against just about all major asset classes. Analysis of a representative selection of the foremost traded investment-grade wines reveals a Compound Annual Growth Rate of 11 percent since 1988. In context, the returns for U.S. Equities (DJIA), U.K. equities (FTSE), Asia equities (Hang Seng), Gold, and Oil for the same period were materially lower.

ABOUT VINFOLIO

Vinfolio is majority-owned by Executive Chairman Don St. Pierre Jr. and his business partner and good friend Allan Warburg, co-founder and co-CEO of Bestseller Fashion Group China. St. Pierre is the recipient of numerous wine industry accolades, including being named number seven on Decanter magazine’s 2011 Top 50 global wine industry power players and selected by Wine Enthusiast Magazine as the 2011 International Man of the Year. In 2012, the French government awarded St. Pierre Jr. the degree of Knight in the French Ordre du Mérite Agricole, and in 2015, he was appointed as a member of the supervisory board of Vinexpo Overseas. Vinfolio’s ownership also includes Jean-Michel Valette, who chairs the Education and Examination Board (EEB) of the Institute of Masters of Wine and is former chairman of Robert Mondavi Corporation and Peet’s Coffee, Jon Moramarco, former CEO of Constellation Brands, and Steve Case, founder of AOL and co-founder at venture capital firm Revolution

The Zavor Crunch Air Fryer Oven Gives Twice the Space for Double the Cooking

We have tested several different air fryers, and some are great, and some are not so great. One of the ones that we think is really nice is the Zavor Crunch Air Fryer Oven. It is perfect not just for amateurs who are just getting started with air fryers, before also for experts who use them all the time. One thing in particular that we really love about this item is that it gives you two racks to cook on at the same time, and has a capacity of 12.7 quarts. This doubles the amount of food that you can prepare, as well as doubles the types of food that you can cook simultaneously.

The Zavor Crunch Air Fryer Oven controls are intuitive and easy to use. It’s a very simple 1-2-3 step approach. First step is plugging it in the appliance and turning it on. After that you just set the TEMP and TIME, and you’re pretty much done. Or you can use one of the blue LED display buttons that show different types of foods or food groups such as Fries, Meat, Seafood, Pizza, Vegetables, Bake and Dehydrate, and then automatically set the temperature and cooking time with them. We have found that those buttons are useful, but it is much more useful to have a written guide that will say for a particular type or food or vegetable the specific temperature and length. Fortunately in the instruction booklet that comes with the Zavor there is such a written guide. There are also written Time & Temp guides for air frying that are available online.

Most air fryers require usually a bit of olive oil or another oil on the item to be cooked. This is done simply by putting them in a bowl and a bit of olive oil, then lightly tossing, then adding the food to the rack of the air fryer. The Zavor Crunch Air Fryer Oven has a non-stick drip pan at the bottom to catch drips and for easy cleaning.

We tested different types of recipes in the Zavor Crunch Air Fryer Oven over a period of several weeks. Everyone loves crispy tofu, so of course we tried it with crispy tofu in a sesame sauce. It worked perfectly. Of course french fries are the most popular recipe for air fryers, so we tested the Zavor with different types of potatoes to see what differences there might be in the fries. In addition we tested different sizes and cuts of fries. Regardless of the type or cut, the fries came out very tasty. Our team had a difficult time not eating them all in one go. Yet another addiction.

We also tried air frying Brussel Sprouts to see if they would become crispy. They did, although we still think that roasted in the oven is probably the best place for the tastiest outcome.

In the Zavor Crunch Air Fryer Oven we tried cooking fried chicken, which came out very well, and this was a surprise because one of the biggest fails people have with air frying is when they decide to fry chicken in them. It really takes a very specific combination of ingredients, coating, and temperature to get what most people would want in their fried chicken. This includes having the breading staying on the chicken and not sliding off. The Zavor fortunately came through this ultimate challenge with flying colors.

Cleanup with the Zavor is easy, as most components inside are removable and non-stick, for easy hand washing. Another useful feature that the Zavor Crunch Air Fryer Oven has is the option to create rotisserie chicken. An attractive option without a doubt, no doubt related to its larger capacity as well as ability to hold a custom spit. We hope to test this feature at a future date.

Our biggest success with the Zavor Crunch Air Fryer Oven was actually with carrot fries. This recipe calls for you to take small baby carrots and cut them in half, then coating them with olive oil lightly, as well as spices, and then adding them to the air fryer. They come out just as delicious as potato-based french fries, but of course are less starchy and more healthy.

21st Amendment Brewery Supports Women in Craft Beer Industry with Release of Moon Boots IPA

Though the craft beer industry’s demographics and workforce are evolving away from beer bellies and beards, there’s still much room for change to reflect the growing diversity of the craft beer consumer, especially when it comes to women brewers.

21st Amendment Brewery is in partnership with the Pink Boots Society to promote and support women brewers, along with the limited-edition release of the new Moon Boots IPA. Along with the nationwide release of Moon Boots IPA, 21st Amendment Brewery is funding three Certified Cicerone Level-Two Course & Exam Scholarships and one “Women In Leadership” Certificate Scholarship at eCornell University exclusively for Pink Boots Members to apply for.

Moon Boots IPA was designed and created by an all-woman team at 21st Amendment Brewery. The project was spearheaded by Sarah Swafford (National Sales Manager), who says, “21A has been incredibly supportive of Pink Boots Society for many years and has participated in several Pink Boots beers. Moon Boots IPA was initially a small batch beer that we called Pink Brüts! and was brewed at 21st Amendment’s downtown San Francisco brewpub for International Women’s Day (2019). We developed the recipe and concept using the Pink Boots hop blend. When it was released, it was so well received at the pub, taproom, and participating accounts we knew it would be a great candidate for one of our nationwide limited-edition releases.”

The women team members at 21st Amendment are an essential and vibrant part of our company and culture,” says Shaun O’Sullivan (Co-Founder & Brewmaster, 21st Amendment Brewery). “What’s a better way to celebrate this excellent group than with a beer uniquely designed by them. Releasing Moon Boots IPA on a national level is an opportunity to shine a big bright light on the important work of the Pink Boots Society and highlight the immense talent of the women on our team. At 21st Amendment Brewery, we want to be an agent of change in supporting Pink Boots’ members with four scholarships in 2021.”

21st Amendment Brewery funds three Certified Cicerone Level-Two Course & Exam Scholarships and one “Women In Leadership” Certificate Scholarship with eCornell University exclusively for Pink Boots Members to apply for. Swafford herself was a recipient of a Pink Boots Society scholarship.

The otherworldly packaging artwork for Moon Boots IPA was commissioned by renowned Los Angeles-based animation artist Robin Eisenberg (Instagram). Her portfolio revolves around celebrating sexuality and the diversity of women. The packaging for Moon Boots IPA features the creators envisioned as otherworldly beings. Says Robin, “I‘ve always loved celebrating women in my work, and working with 21st Amendment on this was so much fun! I think it’s amazing that Moon Boots IPA is not only recognizing women in brewing, but it’s also helping to create more opportunities for future women in the industry. So happy I could be a part of the project!”

Moon Boots IPA is clean, crisp, and brewed with pilsner malts, toasted rice, and strawberries. Hopped with Citra Cryo, Azacca, and Mosaic hops, Moon Boots IPA blasts beer lovers to another planetary dimension with its soft aromatics and refreshing strawberry notes making this a beer for stargazers.

Saint Mojavi Drops Fashion Collection that Promote Chic Style and Sustainability

Saint Mojavi is a Los Angeles based ready-to-wear label focused on reducing their eco-footprint through thoughtful production practices.

Saint Mojavi was founded in 2018 by Hawai’i born designer, Teresa Pinedo. Since the start of the brand, Pinedo has been extremely passionate about reducing excess waste and made this a key component of the Saint Mojavi ethos. The brand was also recently highlighted on Forbes as one of “Four Sustainable Fashion Brands You Need To Know.”

Pinedo incorporates pre-loved fabrics into each collection — these fabrics are mainly sourced from local mom & pop shops who no longer need it. Many fabrics are re-worked into multiple Saint Mojavi collections, bringing new life to past materials in various ways.

One example is how Pinedo re-invented a colorful plaid seersucker fabric from her “La Cartagena 2020” collection into the “La Escapar 2021” collection. Fashion loves can see how she used this fabric to create a tri-color patchwork print for classic styles like the Cieza Tee and Talavera Tube Dress.

In practice, no fabric goes to waste at the Saint Mojavi atelier in Downtown Los Angeles. Extra scraps are used to create fashionable accessories like bucket hats, gloves, and even reversible face-masks. In addition, last year Saint Mojavi removed their wholesale partnerships and became entirely “Made to Order,” significantly reducing excess fabrics and packaging. Even the buttons on each piece are either sourced locally or are vintage so that nothing ends up in a landfill. Going forward the brand will also be using fully biodegradable packaging.

Saint Mojavi also has a growing list of celebrity fans, including Kendall Jenner.
