The World Dog Surfing Championships return in person on August 2, 2025

 

TasteTV is happy to announce that the Annual World Dog Surfing Championships (SM) will take place on August 2nd, 2025, in Pacifica on the Northern California coast, outside of San Francisco.

The World Championships for Dog Surfing take place on the Northern California coast — where the concept for the dog surfing sport originated — bringing together the best in local and international dog surfing talent. The world’s top dog surfers as well as amateurs are invited to bring home the gold.

Top dog surfers as well as happy amateurs are invited to bring home the Golden Surfie Award. During the event there will be a number of activities including the surf competition, dog beach fashion contest, dog adoptions, partner tents and activities, and more.

Meet Master Chocolatier multi-award winning chocolatier Michael Recchiuti of Recchiuti Confections at the 2025 San Francisco Chocolate Salon on April 6th. Michael will be doing one on one talk with Salon attendees

Michael Recchiuti is a master chocolatier and the visionary behind Recchiuti Confections, a renowned San Francisco-based artisanal chocolate company. With a passion for blending traditional European techniques with innovative flavor pairings, Recchiuti has elevated chocolate-making into an art form. Since founding his company in 1997, he has been celebrated for his meticulous craftsmanship, using only the finest ingredients to create confections that balance complexity and elegance. His signature burnt caramel truffles and adventurous flavor infusions have earned him a devoted following, solidifying his reputation as one of the most respected chocolatiers in the industry.​

Recchiuti’s contributions to the culinary world have been widely recognized. His book, “Chocolate Obsession,” co-authored with pastry expert Fran Gage, was a finalist at the 2006 James Beard Awards and received high honors for photography and design at the 2006 International Association of Culinary Professionals annual conference. Additionally, he was honored by the Fine Chocolate Industry Association for his outstanding contribution as a fine chocolatier.
