Hero Dinners Cookbook at Napa’s Feast it Forward Studio

TasteTV visited Feast it Forward in Napa Valley to enjoy a recipe demo from the new cookbook “Hero Dinners”, presented by Anolon.

The cookbook was written and created by dining duo Marge Perry & David Bonom, and is focused on allowing a home cook to make the best one pan meal they can in the shortest amount of time.

The primary recipe demonstrated and tasted was a Peruvian Chicken with Aji Verde sauce, a crowd favorite. The dish can be made with either thighs or wings. They also demonstrated how to prepare Gochujang Skirt Steak, with sides of scallion polenta and roasted broccolli.

Anolon is debuting high-quality yet affordable skillets and cookie sheets that are non-stick and oven proof, perfect for one pan cooking.

The book is a fantastic and handy guide to give you the “superpowers” to jazz up a meal with easy to find fresh ingredients and with a minimum of mess in your kitchen. The end result is that it helps make you a culinary Hero to everyone around. It also helps that there are tantalizing photographs for each recipe, so you know just what you are aiming for when you start (and all of these excellent and well lit photos were all taken by Marge herself, not a hired food photographer).

Hero Dinners includes 100 one-pan meals you can feel good about eating and feeding to your family, including:

  • Ancho Chili Chicken Pot Pie with Cornbread Biscuit Topping
  • Peruvian Chicken with Purple Potatoes, Brussels Sprouts and Aji Verde Sauce
  • Salmon with Ginger Tomato Jalapeno Sauce and Zucchini Couscous

Feast it Forward holds regular events such as these as part of their mission. Says the firm, “Feast it Forward is an online network and lifestyle brand that goes beyond the usual plate-and-bottle content to promote ‘Inspiring Living.'” Part of this not just their online programming but also their offline partnerships in their Napa showroom, including food, drink and music.

The Feast it Forward HQ space was designed with these elements in mind, and features a number of brands that have partnered with them to place their products in a face-to-face environment with the end user (the consumer). The second floor of this two story building includes a fully functioning studio for filming demos, interviews, and more. In a very short time it has quickly become an integral part of Napa Valley’s food and wine scene.
